I am 78 and one of my 1099-R is for Disability Retirement and coded with a 3 for that.. Is that income still taxable because ( am past retirement age?

It is still taxable income to you, however the 3 would exempt it from a 10% penalty if under 59 1/2, so not sure why they have coded it a 3 for you.

You could ask the issuer of the 1099R, however it will have no impact on your tax return.
