Husband died in 2016 but received a 1099R in 2017. However, Turbo tax has deleted his information and I cannot seem to add his name

you may add that 1099-R amount on your own return if you actually received the amount shown.

Are you filing as married filing jointly? You are allowed to do that in the year following death of a spouse.

sorry, no, only IN the year of death (2016 in this case).
