Husband died at end of year and was sole income earner. how do I file taxes? I have all of the tax forms already.

my husband was retired military and passed away in Nov 2016 and we lived off his retirement. we don't own anything or have dependents. I just need to file the taxes for his income. we normally file a 1010ez

You can use the same Turbo Tax account you always have, or you can create a new one.

When you start your return, go through the personal information section of the program again. You will be able to indicate that your husband passed away in 2016. Turbo Tax will then walk you through how to file the rest of the return, and get all the necessary forms that are needed since he passed away.

So sorry for your loss.
