How would I see my contribution to the roth IRA for the tax year. Would this be on my W-2 or is this a total of all my contributions since the creation of the account?

Contribution to an IRA would not be on your W-2.  Only contributions to a tax deferred retirement account provided by your employer would be on the W-2.  Such as contribution to a 401(k) or a Roth 401(k).

If you have a Roth IRA it would be outside the employer provided retirement account.  Where you are the owner of the IRA and you contribute with your own funds.

Ohh ok so for clarification, if turbotax is asking for my Roth IRA contributions, but I have a Roth 401(k) I would not worry about that section since I don't have a personal retirement account outside of one provided by an employer?
