How to enter Roth IRA conversion - Turbotax does not let me enter the conversion amount

Hi, first time here in this community.

I am trying to finish my tax return with Turbotax Deluxe, and I cannot enter my Roth IRA conversion amount. I am sure this is not new, but I just could not solve it. What is causing this?

This is NOT Roth Backdoor, but simple contribution and conversion. I got 1099-R, so I entered it, and where I enter the conversion amount (since it was partial), the box is grayed out. I converted some amount from traditional IRA to Roth IRA, so I need to pay tax on it.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

What code is in box 7?

Is the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box checked?

Did you get the RMD question?

Hi, macuser_22

Box 7 says 02.

[IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box] is checked.

[Taxable amount not determined] checked.

RMD question? No. I don't think so. I am not at retirement age.

Thank you for looking into it and helping me out.

Try deleting the 1099-R and re-enter.    After it asks if it is inherited you should get the screen that asks what you did with the money.   Choose - moved to another account and the choose that you did a combination of things and enter the amount converted to a Roth.  (Depending if you are using the online or desktop version the screens are a bit different).
