How do I show a partial rollover of IRA to Roth IRA? I had an early distribution (1099-R, Box 7, #1) from an IRA account, but rolled most of it into a Roth IRA.

TurboTax only asks if all of the money from an early distribution was rolled over to a Roth.  Is there a way to claim only some of the money was rolled over.  I want to reduce the amount of an early distribution susceptible to a penalty.

After indicating that you moved the money to another retirement account, indicate that you did a combination of rolling over, converting and cashing out, then indicate the amount that you converted to a Roth IRA.  (The depositing of this money into a Roth IRA is still called a Roth conversion even though it was done indirectly.)
