I am filing state taxes in Utah which excludes 100% military pension without any income caps. Turbo Tax still included my pension in UT state AGI which is incorrect. How do I correct this?
You must go to the 1099-R entry in the federal taxes section and indicate it is a Military pension to get the Military Retirement Credit. @flisur
Mary, I did that from the beginning (annotate as pension) but Turbo Tax keeps showing my AGI for Federal and State as the same despite that. I believe there is an algorithm problem because clicking the "?" explanation indicates turbo tax believes there is an income cap for UT which there is NOT.
