How do i know if i got a lump sum payment from ssa and how do I report it on 1040 in turbo tax

Got $9000 for me and 4000 for my son total $13000. How so I report it?

A lump sum payment would be shown in box 3 on your SSA-1099.  If there is not a lump sum payment shown then answer the question being asked as NO.

You do not enter a dependent's Social Security benefits on your tax return.  If the dependent has no other income then they do not report the benefits received on a tax return.
