How do I enter an indirect rollover from a Roth IRA? I took a distribution but then rolled it back into the Roth IRA within the 60-day period.

You can revisit the 1099-R section. After entering the data, you will come to a screen with the heading  "Tell us if you moved the money through a rollover or conversion"

  • Select "I rolled over some or all of it to an IRA or other retirement account within the time limits (normally 60 days)"
  • Next screen - Choose that you rolled over less than the total distribution
  • A box will populate asking for the exact amount.  Enter the amount you repaid.
