How do i add form 5329 to my 2021 tax filing? by the way i believe I'm using the Premier version of TT.

Form 5329 is used for 9 different situations, and they are handled differently in TurboTax. What is the specific reason that you need Form 5329?


If you need Form 5329 because you did not take your full RMD for 2021, please provide the following information.

  • Do you have any Form 1099-R for 2021?
  • Is this your first RMD? Did you just turn 72 in 2021?
  • Have you taken the missed RMD in 2022? If so, when did you take it?
