How can I file my 1099?

It depends, if your 1099-G is for a state or local tax refund and there is an amount in Box 2 you would enter the 1099G here:

1. Open TurboTax.
2. Scroll down to Other Common Income.
3. Click on Start near Refund Received for State/Local Tax Returns.
4. This will take you to Did You Get a State or Local Tax Refund? Answer Yes.
5. On the following screen, enter the state you received it from, total amount in Box 2 and the total of all payments (typically the same amount) and the tax year that is listed in Box 3.
6. Click on Continue and Choose the correct answer.
7. Click on Continue.

If your 1099-G is for Unemployment received or for Family Leave:

Unemployment compensation and paid family leave are entered in the same place:

1. Open TurboTax.
2. Search for 1099-G and select the Jump to.
3. On the Did You Receive Unemployment or Paid Family Leave Benefits in 2020? screen, answer Yes.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your 1099-G information.
