Why did you get a 1099G?  Was it for unemployment or a state tax refund?

I have the form for unemployment but it doesn’t have the boxes like the W2 has. When I add the form through uploading it the boxes are not filled in and it asked me for the information in box 4 and the state in box 10

A 1099G is not like a W2.  Are you entering it in the right place?

Enter a 1099G for unemployment under

Federal on left

Wages & Income at top

Unemployment - Click the Start or Update Button

Put the total in box 1 and any withholding in box 4.

At the bottom pick -  Change How I enter my Form

Then on the next screen pick I'll Type it in Myself

THANK YOU!! I know it’s not like a W2 but the page asking for the box number info was throwing me off.
