How can I claim a repayment of an early dispersal from my pension? Can the original tax penalty be recovered by the repayment?

I was laid off during recession and then later rehired by the same employer. However, I took an early dispersal from the pension while unemployed to keep up with the mortgage. I am paying it back now that I have been rehired.
