Please explain what deductions you are distributing between spouses.   What are you trying to do?  Are you filing a joint return or are you filing married filing separately?  And...are you in a community property state?

If you are referring to the Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions Deduction, you can go back to the input by following these steps:

  1. Click Deductions & Credits
  2. Scroll down to Retirement and Investments
  3. Click Revisit next to Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions
  4. Go through the interview questions again

Yes, I'm filing jointly with my wife. I seem to remember distributing some deductions between the two of us; it may have been mortgage interest. But when I went through it a second time, turbotax didn't give me the option to change the distribution between the two of us. I'm hoping I don't have to clear my entries and start over to be able to make those adjustments. Thanks

If you are filing a joint return you do not distribute mortgage interest or any other itemized deductions between the two of you.  When you file a joint return all of your income, dependents, and deductions and credits are combined.  And the refund will come in both of your names.

If you file married filing separately, that is when you would be dividing up who enters what deduction, etc.
