Hello I have had my Roth since 2000, I contributed about $6100 in 2022, then took a distribution in 2024 for $6000. Why am I being taxed on the $6000?

Check the code in box 7.
It should be
Q or T
These are the codes for a ROTH distribution
Anything other than that may be taxed.
If those were not the codes, contact your fund manager
