Have $717.01 in interest , however the taxable amount shown on the form is $1433.00. How can you correct this problem?

You either entered it twice, or imported it and then entered it again yourself.

Go to Federal > Wages and Income > Interest to edit.

I had actually imported a portion of the interest and then entered the amount a second time.  By deleting the second entry the problem was easily resolved.
