GA says you can get a deduction for a miscarriage because of the life act. I miscarried at about 8 weeks (heartbeat detected). Do I qualify? Will it make a difference?
I see we can't get a federal deduction, but can we get a state deduction for the state of Georgia?

On a Georgia 2023 income tax return -
If at anytime during 2023 a taxpayer has an unborn child (or children) with a detectable human heartbeat, the taxpayer may claim a dependent personal exemption in the amount of $3,000 for each unborn child.

Watch the GA interview carefully for this deduction ... it will not be part of the federal interview.
