Form 9465 I set up the debit payment plan but it has been a few weeks and no withdrawal has been made. How long does that take? Do I mail the first payment?

I filled out the lines 13a and 13b as instructed with my bank info. But I am not sure I have to mail the voucher payment for the first payment. Does the IRS send something saying the payment plan was approved before taking the initial payment?

The IRS can take up to 3 months to approve the payment plan and start making the deductions. You can make payments until then to reduce the penalties and interest.
