For an ESPP sale, my 1099-B lists MULTIPLE for the date acquired in box 1b. TurboTax does not accept this. It wants a specific date. What should I do?

I don't know what TurboTax will accept. Many shares were purchased over many dates. I have a 1099-B that summarizes the purchase and sale, and I am stumped. The 1099-B does not provide a date acquired as a summary; it just lists "MULTIPLE".

Instead of "Multiple" use "Various" as acquisition date.

TurboTax will only accept a date in the field, and I am blocked from making progress.  Thank you

for the acquisition date, TurboTax will accept Various.  For the sale date, if there are multiple, you can use 12/31/2024 in that field, as that field does require a date.

My Turbotax version will not accept 'various' - it wants a date.

You should be able to select various for the date. When you enter the description of the stock you sold, there is a question that lets you enter the date or enter something else.  You should select something else, and in the dropdown box select Various.  See the image below for your reference:

In Turbotax Home and Business, "various" is not an option in the dropdown.
