for a union defined benefit pension plan, how do i know what the rmd amount is?

i need to know what the RMD due by 12/31/24 would have been? Do I enter the amount in box 1 for gross distribution?

Yes, that will work. 

The RMD on pensions are the same as what is distributed that year. 

 

TurboTax just started asking about RMD in this way and it does seem confusing.
