Filing corrected 8606

Due to my mistake of the carry-over basis amount from previous year, I have to file corrected 8606 for last several years. My question is should I check the amended box or not ? I am not amending the complete 1040 return, just filing the corrected 8606 as the mistake was in the "total basis in traditional IRAs in .....".

get the form 8606 for each year in fillable PDF format from the IRS website  and fill it out yourself.

double check and triple check the arithmetic on all forms before sending.

if you had distributions or conversions in any of those years, never mind. Use the software to fill out the form.

Thanks. I downloaded all the older forms and filling in acrobat DC. But, My question is - should I check the amended box or not ? That box is there in 2018 and older forms not in 2019. Since I am not amending the entire return, I think I do not need to check this box.
