Error for 1099-R stating to "Box 16a state distribution amount should not be less than state tax withheld". Entry is correct but turbotax keeps flagging an error

I think there's an problem with TurboTax.

Let me say the same thing another way. Your tax paid is more than you received. Your state distribution of say $10 is less than the tax that was withheld on it, say $1,500.

It just does not make sense. You must have switched the numbers or mistyped a number. The tax being more than the distribution does create an error.

If you have withholding in box 14 then for box 16 enter the same amount as in box 2a. If box 2a is blank use the amount from box 1.

i get 0 errors on my error check for fed and NY. However, when I go to file and put in all the e-file information it states there is an issue. On my IRA form my gross distribution is in the thousands   box 1 is the same as box 2a . My state tax withheld (box 14) is well below the gross distribution. The error is as follows.

Box 16a state distribution amount should not be less than state tax withheld". Entry is correct but TurboTax keeps flagging an error

Is there any way of overriding this error so I can e-file my taxes?

If box 14 has an amount and box 16 is blank put in the amount from box 2a in box 16.  If 2a is blank then put in the amount from box 1.

I tried putting 2a amounts in box 16 still does not work. There has to be a glitch in turbo tax that needs to be fixed
