Does Virginia still have the medical expenses addition to income for 2018 as it did for 2017? You had to add the difference between the Federal (7.5%) and Virginia 10%.

On February 15, 2019, the Virginia Legislatue passed legislation adopting nearly all parts of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017, include the reduction of the medical and dental expense floor to 7.5%.

"For Taxable Year 2017, Virginia deconformed from the provision of the TCJA that temporarily increased the amount of the medical expense deduction. As a result, certain individual income taxpayers were required to report an addition. For Taxable Year 2018, Virginia will fully conform to such provision, and no such addition will be required."
