Does turbo tax add the Medicare and social security ?

If you are entering your W-2 manually (not importing it), you need to enter the Medicare and Social Security as shown on your W-2.

What do you mean?  Add it to what from where?  You need to enter it from your W2.  But you don't get it back in your refund.  SS and Medicare in boxes 4&6 are mandatory taxes.  There is a max on Social Security.  If you have 2 or more employers and go over the max you get the excess back as a refund on your tax return.
