Does it actually have a zero in it, or is it blank?

The box is Zero.   My husband rolled over an IRA so I recieved the 1099-R form, but I was wondering if I need to include it in my turbo tax since ther is no tax paid.

Yes, include all of your Forms 1099-R for this year in TurboTax. The IRS will match what you report to the information they have on file, so you want to add these forms to avoid problems later, even if you won't owe tax on them.

To record a distribution or rollover from an IRA using TurboTax

  1. Select the TurboTax "Search" button located near the top right of your screen
  2. Type "1099-r" into the search box
  3. Click on "Jump to 1099-r" from the results list
  4. TurboTax will ask you about your IRA distribution on a series of screens. Answer the questions on each screen. TurboTax will guide you through what is needed to record your IRA distribution. Press “Continue” after finishing your entries on each screen
