Do I need a 1099 form for my cleaning company and major repairs? If I claim all my expenses and proof of payment, won't this be enough?

Do I need to file 1099 for any expenses or services required for upkeep of rental property? Or can I file invoices and proof of payment for services received instead?

You will need to issue a 1099 to any company that does any work on your rental company that totals more than $600 in a calendar year as long as the company is not a corporation including an s-corporation. You will need each vendor to fill out a W-9 and that will indicate if you need to send them a 1099 at the end of the year.
