Do I have to use the amount I contributed to my teachers retirement account through my paycheck?

What do you mean, "Do I have to use (it)?"

 

Does this amount appear on your W-2, say in Box 12 or Box 14?

 

Also, what is the name of the teachers retirement account (e.g. TRS, Teachers Retirement System).?
