Do I have to claim social security payments for paying tax on them? I am unemployed 66 year and 7 months old and receive $3,567 per month for social security payments

I RECIVE $3,567 per month for social security I also receive 43,00 PER MONTH FOR SIX MONTHS PER YEAR FO UNEMPLOYMENT

If the unemployment income you received was your only other income for 2024 then you do not need to file a 2024 tax return.

@brichey725 you state that your unemployment income is "43,00" - not sure if that means $43 or $4300 per month.

 

If your income EXCLUDING social security is less than $16,350 (filing SINGLE), there is no filing requirement.
