Do You Have any Excess Roth Contributions?
Tell us if you contributed more to a Roth IRA than was allowed in 2019 or any previous year.
Should I answer yes if I contributed to my Roth in 2017, got married halfway through the year then withdrew all 2017 contributions and earnings before filing my 2017 return?
Or is it asking if I made excess contributions that weren’t withdrawn in time and incurred the penalty (permanently classified excess)?
