Do I claim veteran's benefits on1099-R forms? Widowed, receiving part of husband's retirement, and Dependency Indemnity Compensation.

My retired military husband died, I receive a small portion of his retirement, plus Dependency Indemnity Compensation, awarded by the VA. this income was reported on a Form 1099-R. Do I report it as income?

Yes, you have to report Form 1099-R on your return:

  1. Login to your TurboTax Account
  2. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R”
  3. Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
