Did the traditional IRA contribution limit for an individual increase from 6500 to 7000 for 2018?

My advisor indicated that the individual contribution limit for a traditional IRA increased in 2018, did the limit get reset for 2018?

The contribution limit did not change for 2018 contributions and remains at $6500 for someone 50 and older.  It increases to $7000 for someone 50 and older in 2019.
