Can I take the Disability Benefits deduction for Ohio if I receive disability benefits through the SSA due to a permanent disability? I do not receive them from employer

I have form SSA-1099 for my taxable income from the SSA. It is included in my federal income and I file jointly with my spouse. I just need to know if I can use this income to qualify for the Ohio Disability Benefits deduction.

You can use the benefits to the extent they are included in your federal adjusted gross income and they are for disability, not retirement.
