Can I still receive EIC if I’m on Social Security, over 70?

The Turbo Tax walk-thru is saying I can but I remember in the last few filings that Seniors are not qualified. This deduction seems strange.

The law changed for 2021 with no maximum age limit for EIC. But you do have to have earned income.

Just for the 2021 tax year, the criteria for EIC changed to include folks older than 65.   As stated, you do have to have income earned from working in order to qualify.  If you were eligible for EIC, it was added to line 27a of your Form 1040.
