Can i set up a traditional IRA through TurboTax?

Or do I have to do it separately after telling TT how much I plan to invest?

Indicate how much you plan to contribute to an IRA in TurboTax, but the account set up has to take place outside of the program. Set one up through a mutual fund, bank or brokerage.

I like Vanguard or Fidelity for their low fees, but choose the custodian of your choice.
