Can i get a refund if my only source of income is social security

No, you did not have any taxable income in 2022 if your only income is from Social Security and if you did not have any taxes withheld from the SS income you cannot receive a tax refund for taxes that were never withheld.

You do not need to file a tax return if your only income is from Social Security.

Only if you had federal tax withheld from your SS.  There are no child tax credit refunds for 2022 if you did not work.
