Can I file for free if I have a 1099-R form

The Free edition supports entry of a Form 1099-R on the 1040A tax return.

However, if you are under age 59 1/2 and have an early distribution penalty then the Free Edition does not support the 1040 form that is required to report the penalty.  You would need at least Deluxe.
