Can I enter a lifetime pension benefit that is a monthly payment for life but has no principal balance. This is a fixed benefit pension reported on a 1099R.

How do I enter a fixed retirement for life from a public employer that has no principal amount?

Is the amount of the gross distribution (box 1) also reported as the taxable amount in box 2a?
