Yes, you can do a joint return with your spouse or domestic partner in all versions of TurboTax.
Your RMDs should be reported to you on Form 1099-R. This is how to add a Form 1099-R in TurboTax:
- Select Federal.
- Under Wages & Income, find IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).
- Select Add/ Edit to the right.
- Answer Yes on the next screen.
- At this point, you can follow the steps to import your 1099-R information, or
- Scroll to the bottom and click Skip this.
- Click Continue.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Change how I enter my form.
- On the next screen select, I'll type it in myself.
- On the next screen select the type of 1099-R you have.
- Click Continue.
- Enter the information from your 1099-R form.
- Once you return to the screen, Here's your 1099-R info, you can select Add another 1099-R.
