Can I, as a non American citizen, write off my medicare and social security? Because I will not be living in the states next year. I'd like something back.

This is my first time filing for taxes myself, and I'm confused as to why am I paying Medicare and Social security when I don't have health insurance? I plan on leaving the states to go back home at the end of the year, so I'm confused as to what I could do to gain something back.

If you are not filing as a US resident, then you will need to use Sprintax.com to file your return.  The rules for US Non-Residents are different than the rules for Residents.  They will be able to guide you on how to handle tax issues for nonresidents.
