Backdoor roth IRA help

This year I completed a backdoor roth IRA for both myself and my spouse. We are married filing jointly. For both of our conversions due to a delay in the actual IRA to roth IRA conversion there was some interest accumulation so on Dec 31 there was some money in both of our traditional IRA that did not get converted.

When trying to input this information into turbo tax it populates the "Tell Us the Value of All Your Traditional IRA Accounts" for myself but does not do it for my spouse. Not sure how to get my spouse's info in there.

Please verify, that your wife has her Form 1099-R assigned to her. Also, make sure her IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked in Form 1099-R her entry.

Go back to the retirement section:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R”
  2. Click on “Jump to 1099-R” and review the Form 1099-R entries.
