Are executor fees & commissions taxable and if so what form and line should they be reported on?

I was executor for my sister who passed away. I took the standard executor fee as allowed by law. Just trying to find out if it taxable and how to report it. Thanks

From what you describe, they would likely be taxable. You can use this IRS tool to help determine if your executor fees are taxable.

You report them in TurboTax under Wages and Income in the federal section of TurboTax. Then Less Common Income, then Miscellaneous Income, then Other reportable income. They would appear on line 8 of your Form 1040, Additional income from Schedule 1, line 10.
