After entering my ROTH contributions for 2017, it asks for "The Value of my Roth IRA on December 31st, 2017" Is this wanting the amount from when it was opened to now?

It's asking for the value of your Roth IRA account as of 12/31/17 plus any amounts that you made in 2018 for the 2017 tax year.

Ex: Year end Roth balance is $56,450 and you make a $5,000 Roth contribution on 2/1/18. Enter the amount of $61,450.
