Your 1099-R won't automatically be entered on to Form 8915-E.   After you enter it, you should be asked if the distribution was covid-related.  Once you answer the questions to qualify for the relief, TurboTax will remove any associated penalties.  Then you will be asked if you want to pay all of the tax in 2020 or spread it ratably over 3 years.   If you don't check the box to pay all of the tax in 2020,  TurboTax will include the distribution and any repayments of the distribution on Form 8915-E.

You may need to delete it and re-enter it.   If this was an RMD distribution, please note - RMDs were waived for 2020, so no part of the distribution was actually an RMD even though it was taken with the intention of satisfying an RMD.  In TurboTax, indicate that the distribution was not an RMD.
