1099R Form Do you need to file this when you’re Unemployed NO Income NO job?

Do you need to file 1099-R If It Was A Beneficiary Money Given and Taxed Already Then and from your late Mom who passed away in October 2023; it was from her Pension Fund and We Are the Beneficiaries.

 

We Need some clarity detailed informations on this. Also, when you are currently Unemployed, NO Income, NO Work, and NO W2 Form To File. Do you still need to file this 1099-R??? Please Help Anyone???

It depends- if your income is under the filing threshold because you have no other income, you would not have to file the 1099-R.  

You can enter the information in TurboTax to see if there is any tax due, or see Here’s who needs to file a tax return in 2024.
