1099R, box 7 = code 4D. TT asks how old this person would have been. Is it asking YOB for 1099R recipient or YOB for person who died and left the annuity for recipient?

The word *would* in "would have been" indicates "after the fact". So the person whose age it is asking for is no longer alive.
