Third stimulus and injured spouse form

I have filed my 2020 tax return and it was accepted but is still being processed. I file injured spouse because he owes back child support from before I knew him. For the third stimulus check that just passed will they go off my 2020 taxes even though it’s not processed yet or will they revert back to using my 2019 return?

The IRS will use 2019 information if 2020 information is not available so if your return is still being processed, it’s not yet in the IRS system.

The IRS did send out catch-up payments for the previous stimulus to about 50,000 individuals whose portion of the EIP was diverted to pay their spouse's past-due child support so you may get your third stimulus on time.
