Mailing tax return to the IRS Austin,TX address from abroad. Has anyone else experienced this?

I mailed my tax return (registered mail) from overseas  to the address: Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, Austin, TX, [social security number removed]. However, my USPS tracking info states that my return was delivered to front desk/reception/mail room Austin, TX, 78710.

Has anyone else experienced this? And was your return received by the IRS?

@Gigi24 , whereas the Zip code  of the Austin , TX processing center does not match that shown on your tracking, it probably went to the right place.   If you are in refund position then you should be able to see the processing status at "Where is My Refund" page  of www.irs.gov.

If you used the USPS services , then you could contact them for an explanation.  ( thought registered mail from another country would be handled by that country  and USPS would only provide delivery service once the material arrives in the USA , implying that the tracking is  done by the local country mail service--yes ? )
