2020 Stimulus credit for children

I have gone through and filed my return. When I got to the part about the amount received for the stimulus, it stated I would be eligible for the additional $1100 for the child that was born during the 2020 year, but it proceeded to state it would not be included in my current return as it had to be further reviewed prior to being issued. How do I find the status of this as my federal return has already been issued?

Have you already received the rest of your refund? Did you get the amount you were expecting less $1,100? If so you can call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

If your refund is pending, check Where’s My Refund.

The IRS has said it will correct incorrect stimulus amounts and the correction process may delay refunds.

I have gotten all my other parts of my refund except the stimulus portion. Should I contact the IRS about this?

Make sure you get a Social Security number for your newborn.
