Military retirement pay is not documented on a W-2, it is on the 1099-R. That may be reason Turbo Tax is flagging it as an error. Follow the steps for entering a 1099-R and enter all the information from your 1099-R manually. When you are asked if the Distribution is from a Qualified Plan, choose "From a Non-Qualified Plan".
