I am being charged approximately $800 for VA state tax. I am active duty military stationed in VA. but claim FL. residency. Shouldnt I be paying FL. State tax?

As active duty military stationed outside of your official "Home Of Record" state (FL), you should be exempt from state tax in the state of your deployment.  In the TurboTax process, it is important that you DO NOT claim that you "lived" in the state of your deployment. You may want to review your entries in the TurboTax interview.  FL doesn't have a state personal income tax, so it would be wise to follow up.
